There are a couple of reasons that this happens. The first reason is for maintenance. If we need to transfer the domain, or adjust billing information, we need to have our information present in these fields. The second reason is for privacy. In order to avoid the cost associated with a private registration, we use our contact information in all of the fields. This means that if someone tries to run a scam they will send the information to us and we can deal with it, instead of hassling you with it. Many of our clients have found this to be very helpful, however if you would rather have your information included or pay for a private registration, we are happy to facilitate those options as well.
